Windows is loading files.Startup Repair runs for a few seconds.and then I get the Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically. Safe Mode with Command Prompt) as all of them lead to the same result - i.e. When I tap F8 at startup, it doesn't matter what option I select (e.g. I've had this PC for over 6 years and I've no idea where any of the disks are so I'm obviously not able to insert one at startup. It's no longer asking me about System Restore. When I reach the System Recovery Options screen, I'm only seeing one option which is the Startup Repair (whereas from what I've read and seen online, I should be looking at about 6 different options when I reach this screen). I've tried running the Startup Repair multiple times but now I'm getting the below error message after just a few seconds (initially the repair process went on for a good few minutes before restarting automatically - now it just gives me this message). It then suggested that I carry out a System Restore which I clicked, but still no change. Computer then attempted a number of repairs but no joy. It started with Windows loading as normal, then I reached a blue screen with a load of errors, so I restarted from that point. It's fair to say that my computer hasn't been running smoothly over the past few months, with the occasional random shut down and what not, but this is something I haven't experienced before. I've just encountered a major issue with my PC (Windows 7) earlier this evening.
